  • I think I've found a place in North County (San Diego) to take my car for as long as it will last.

    Trasie P.

This is first experience with KB Motorsport. The seem to provide very trustworthy service. I have a 1995 BMW Wagon that need special attention from mechanics who know BMWs. This place came highly recommended by Allen Wrench down the street (that doesn't work on BMWs). They were very thorough on the oil change and inspection. They gave me great advice and a good timeline along with estimate on what to repair, when and how much. Kenny was very pleasant and knowledgable. It's difficult to feel comfortable with a car mechanic. I think I've found a place in North County (San Diego) to take my car for as long as it will last.

  • Highly Recommend and wouldn't take my vehicles to anyone else

    Liz F.

My first visit to KB Motorsports was at their old location and I was happy to follow them to their new place where the service center is easy to find and a much larger building. Kip and his crew of highly skilled mechanics go above and beyond to make sure my car gets done in a timely matter and the quality of work is superb !! I've never had a problem with any work that was completed here. Good , Quality work and people here ! I recommend KB Motorsports to all my friends and all have said the same about this service center. *Highly Recommend and wouldn't take my vehicles to anyone else !!

  • Customer service is extraordinary, honest and friendly.

    Stuart W.

A friend of my wife's reccomended Kip when our Mercedes mechanic retired, that was at least 15 yrs ago, my children take their cars there, our friends, and neighbors.Their knowledge and expertise of automechanics is beyond reproach.Customer service is extraordinary, honest and friendly. All at reasonable prices! I wouldn't consider buying a new car without consulting Kip first. The passion and pursuit of excellance is alive and well at KB Motorsports, a true gem.

FAQ’S

  • What is Preventative Maintenance?

Preventative maintenance is a regualarly scheduled maintenance of your vehicle that is mandated by the factory that built it. Which helps fewer repairs occur and keep your car in better working condition.

  • How should I prepare my car for a road trip?

Check the oil, coolant and lights. Visually check the belts and all hoses. Top off all fluids then inspect the battery to make sure it’s in good working condition.

  • Why do my brakes squeak?

Brakes can squeak for a variety of reasons, but continuous squeals and grinding sounds may mean it’s time for new brake pads and shoes. Work brakes can mean longer stopping distances and difficulty stopping in emergency situations. Rotors and drums that are too thin may even become over-stressed and break. Remember, if you notice any of these symptoms it’s a good idea to get your brakes checked.

  • How often should I change my oil?

The additive in the oil starts to break down as soon as it heats up to high temperatures. The engine in your vehicle will reach over 200 degrees almost every time you drive it. History has proven that the 3,000 mile mark is a good interval to have your engine oil replaced.
